The Sons and Daughters of Hawley Present The 117th Annual Celebration of Hawley Day

The day-long event starts at about 10:00 AM at the Meeting House in East Hawley with a “koffee klatch,” where drinks and pastries will be available, and a variety of Hawley-themed items, gifts, and books are available for purchase.

The program will follow its customary pattern, beginning with a

  1. Memorial service for members who have passed away this year,
  2. The Sons and Daughters annual business meeting,
  3. Songs, poems, contests, and some special presentations.

Weather permitting, lunch will be out at the picnic tables in front of the Grove. Attendees are urged to bring a bag or box lunch. The Sons and Daughters will provide a variety of cold salads, drinks, and desserts. There will be music by Tex and Pat LaMountain and games on the lawn.

The event will conclude with a short ceremony celebrating the efforts of Hawley officials and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation in forging new solutions to the repair and maintenance of roads that lead through state-owned sections of Hawley forests.

  • DCR Commissioner, Leo Roy,
  • Senator Adam Hinds,
  • Representative Paul Mark, as well as other officials will be on hand.

Everyone is welcome!
