Live Music: Eric Gaffney
Rare Solo Set From Local Icon
Western Mass rockers of a certain age no doubt remember Sebadoh -- they were on Sub Pop, played Lollapalooza, influenced a zillion bands, and coined the phrase "indie rock." They were on MTV's "120 Minutes," and Kurt Cobain was known to wear their T-shirt. Eric started the group with Lou Barlow back in the late eighties, and left the band after their fourth album "Bubble and Scrape." After many years in the Bay Area, he returned to Northampton, where he continues to churn out his unique brand of likably twisted lo-fi rock. He will be performing a rare solo set, with new songs, old favorites, and unexpected covers. Bar opens at 5, music starts at 6, no cover, limited seating. Don't miss it!
