Ashfield's 11th FilmFest

Friday-Saturday, September 15-16, 7pm
Ashfield Town Hall, 412 Main Street, Ashfield, MA

For Ashfield's 11th FilmFest, we are presenting two films.

ComplicitFriday night, September 15th, we're screening Complicit.

7pm – Ashfield Town Hall.

Shot vérité style in China, Complicit takes the viewer on an intimate journey as we follow teenagers from remote villages, unchanged by time, to the factory floors where our electronics are manufactured. Witness Yi Yeting, a former worker with occupational leukemia, fight for his life and the lives of others as he takes on the world's largest electronics manufacturer, Foxconn, and the world's most profitable company, Apple. With incredible access and undercover footage, Complicit shows the human cost to our wired lives.

Complicit is a shattering comment on inequality and the forces that work to maintain the unjust status quo." -FilmDoo
