Signs Direct Tourists to Village Businesses

Signs Installed at Buckland Intersection

(9/10/09) After over a year of attending meetings and filing Special Permits, six local businesses, Ann Brauer Quilt Studio, Lamson & Goodnow Factory Outlet, Sessions Auto Repair, West County Equipment Rentals, Hart Yoga, the Trolley Museum, and the town of Buckland have installed new directional signs at the intersection of Conway and Ashfield Street to assist local tourist and residents to their destination.

The Shelburne Falls Area Business Association was instrumental in gathering information from businesses, meeting with the Select Board, local Law Enforcement, and obtaining the appropriate permits.  SFABA Executive Director, Mary Vilbon stated, “It has been a very involved process and I did not realize how long it would take to make this a reality. But we all agree the end result was worth it.”

The cost of the project has been divided between the businesses to keep the expenses as low as possible. The SFABA would like to thank the Buckland Highway Department for their assistance with the project.
